Having just googled this number, I’m glad I wasn’t in. I don’t tend to answer strange or private numbers any way unless I’m expecting a call back from a company I’ve recently called. I’m just glad I have caller ID!

I have received a call from this company i was told it was not a marketing call as we are tps protected we do not accept sales/marketing calls. i was asked if we still use a bt landline thus leading up to us changing our subscriber. i told the man that he was liable to prosecution he he rang this number , he never apologised but as he was about to disconect the call i heard him say BLOODY something what a fool to leave his number ill watch out for this number now infuture.

As above, man with foreign accent called to ‘Speak with the owner of the business’. I asked if it was a sales call to which he said ‘yes’. I then said ‘We are registered with TPS so you should not be calling’ to which he said ‘I am from BT why should not BT be calling you? Who is your telephone provider?’ I repeated the previous line about TPS and he hung up.

I was told by Excell communications/excell telecom that the company in question is not them but the similar sounding XLN Telecom, so i called xln on their sales line Tel 0844 880 5939 – which i find will always put you through to a human. A guy with an english accent answered and explained that it was their calling out department which operates from india. he said thanks for telling him there was a problem, he would let the manager at the call centre know that their staff are peeing people off in the real world. so i advise you all to give the above number a call and register your dissatisfaction. This number has phoned me several times trying to get me to change telecom provider, when i said i wasnt interested he became annoyed that i wasnt interested and then hung up.
