Had a missed call so caled back and the guy on phone sid it was my lucky day, they were calling me regarding bank charges from the past 12 years. Immediately asked where they got my number as it is a mobile which i have ex directory and only give out to family and friends. He just kept replying from the UK database. He said he would remove my details but still concerned how this compnay got it

If you have had any dealings with carphone warehouse, AOL, talk talk or any other companies owned by The Carphone Warehouse group then that is where they have got your details.
A friend of mine signed upto talk talk with a false name he made up just for talk talk. He did not allow talk talk to sell his details but this made no defderence. He still got bombarded with calls. My friend says its very obvious that the CPW group do not respect your data and DO break data protection laws.
If you think this is the case and your data has been sold without your permission then report it to the information comminssioners office.
Just recieved this call …does anyone know what or who it is ?
