This is Virgin Media
Yes caller was Virgin media for me.
These are silent calls and I’ve had about half a dozen today. Dialing the number connects to Virgin Media. I have rung and complained.
Yep its Vermin Media.. Just dead air when I answer.. Have rang back once and get the “Virgin Media tried to call you…”
They wanted me to sign up to a moblie phone deal. I said no, but they still insist on ringing me every night. Last call 19/11/09 8:44pm.

Their operators say they speak to everyone who answers…” we don’t make silent calls”.
I’ve tested this… if I pick up, then speak within 5 seconds, an operator always comes on line.
Don’t speak till after 5 seconds, and it stays a silent call.
We don’t have to speak, but they have to announce who they are, so it’s a case for OFCOM.
To all having silent calls from this number 08000 135333 you need to report the problem to OFCOM they will do something about it but only if they receive a certain number of complaints until then Virgin Media will keep doing it as long as they can get away with it
