I was offered a deal on newspapers which may have been legitimate but they wouldn’t tell me how they got my number. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service but when I tried to establish their credentials they just talked over me. Very pushy, I was truly amazed to find they’d left a number at all.

I had this number call me just now, it was the Daily Mail trying to sell me a newspaper subscription. A very annoying guy too- I asked him not to contact me again and he ignored me and started on his sales spiel. I told him I wasn’t interested and he just ignored me and carried on with his sales patter. I asked him again to delete my number and he just talked faster! I hung up on him.
They’ve called me about a dozen times now, both at work and at home. Asking them to stop makes no difference. Why on earth do these companies not accept no for an answer?? All it does is put their company in a bad light and ensure that I’ll never buy the Daily Mail group newspapers again!
