I get a call everyday this week. Who are they?
they keep ringing me and when i answer nobody speaks. Who are they?

THIS NUMBER RANG ME EARLY THIS MORNING AND DIDN'T SPEAK.
THEN RANG AGAIN I MISSED THE CALL NO MESSAGE LEFT WHO AND WHY THEY ARE RINGING!!
They just called me telling me i could get a refund from BPI?????
Found out who this caller is its a datebase company on behalf of insurance companys for anybody wanting to claim PPI (Payment Protection Insurance)
they keep calling & will not stop even after request that they remove my number from their database!!!!!!! damned annoying.
Why can't phone providers (mobile & landline) do something about these annoying pests?
They will not take your name off their database ,Despite asking them to do so several times.The best policy is to send the call to your answer phone on a mobile or pick up the receiver (landline) and place it back down
They always have foreign accents 'tho they profess to be "English" with names like Hilary, Rachael, John, Eric. They know your name and address. Variously they call to "offer help to mend your computer". "We are working for Windows. They told us you had a problem". Or they are keen to reclaim "£3500 for the accident you had in the last 3 years" If you ask which accident? they get a bit vague. My wife just cuts the call, but I like to keep them on the line as long as I can, asking them dumb questions, asking them to spell addresses and names out. I ask them if they know my cousin in Delhi. Usually they get annoyed enough they end up cutting the call. Sadly, they will be ringing back soon with some new wheeze they have thought up.
Fed up to the back teeth with this lot; they have a British number. What ever happened to Telephone Preference Service?
The other nuisance calls seem to come from abroad.

It's scam I think, received a call on my mobile, upon calling back I receive a message prompting me that the telephone service is attempting to test the echo feedback from my phone.
In short that are a scamming company

Just had a call today from these clowns, they asked if they could speak to me (they knew my name), therefore I said that it was me that was speaking, their reply was - Ok Goodbye.
They didn't try to sell me anything, just hung up and when hanging up I could hear laughter
I'm getting sick and tired of these calls, are they actually being paid by someone to annoy people, no wonder this country is up shit creek - why don't they get a real job, like join the circus or something.
For several weeks now the phone has been ringing..................the number calling is 02070603887. I keep telling the person they are asking for isn't here and they just hang up. The phone rings up to a dozen times a day................it is driving me mad and making me wary of answering the phone. Please can someone tell me who they are and how to stop this. We have the preferential user service in place but that doesn't filter this pest.

this is a total scam, do not answer the phone to these people. I receive not just calls but also text messages claiming that I am due thousands of pounds of compensation for an accident I had a few years ago, they also state that I am due more thousands of pounds for unclaimed ppi due to me. what a load of nonesence and news to me. Don't fall for it.
Had a few call from this number of the past couple of days - each tifme i answer they just hang up - it's so bloody annoying - why bother to call and then say nothing - do they really have time and money to waste - lucky them if they have cos i surely don't.
They are starting to annoy me, they are rude........they wont leave me alone. But its fine when i find out who they are, they are going to get a massive fine. Im TPS registered and i have told them evey time they call......
